Christopher Rini: Art About Now

Biography

Christopher Rini was born in Queens, NY in 1978. He received his AAS, Fine Arts, from SUNY FIT in 1998 and his BFA, Fine Arts from CUNY Hunter in 2001. He also received three full fellowship grants to the Vermont Studio Center, from 1999 to 2001.

In 2007 Christopher shifted his focus back to developing and producing his own work, including print and T-shirt making as well as traditional painting. He has produced work both for private collectors and for use in commercial spaces.

Christopher produces mainly figurative and iconographic work in acrylic paint. The images he produces are rich and vibrant with a strong emphasis on the way colors and composition interact with one another. From a larger perspective, his work deals with the inanimate objects and moments of life that gain significance in our lives. Memory is seen as a defining piece of our identities, yet it is an experience that can never be perfectly shared.

All paintings are available for sale in editions of five. Each painting within the set will have small variations. Prints are available where noted. For further details please email the artist.
